SCG National Security

Past Projects

SCG provides support to federal agencies and commercial industries in classified, business confidential, and non-classified security programs.

SCG was founded on security services and has quickly expanded into other arenas; however, SCG's emphasis remains in security services. Our security services are comprehensive and range from providing guards and designing security systems for facilities to review of security documents and programs. SCG offers the following security services:

Spent Nuclear Fuel Security

SCG is active in providing security, coordination, assessments, plans, procedures, training, security forces, and security systems under the Nunn-Lugar Act. The Nunn-Lugar Act requires the U.S. to transfer spent nuclear fuel from foreign research reactors to various locations within the U.S. Our security specialists coordinate with host nation law enforcement/military organizations, conduct assessments, set the security posture, and develop and implement the protective strategies from point of shipment through delivery.

Security Contingency Planning

SCG has developed a series of security and emergency management contingency plans for multiple federal, state, and county agencies. These plans are developed after a comprehensive threat and resource analysis. The plans are oriented to both management and security officer actions required to mitigate multiple security and emergency management incidents. SCG develops a decision/action flowchart for each threat identified for an organization or facility. Based on client needs, the flowcharts are customized to organizational regulations, Code of Federal Regulations, and local laws to ensure compliance. This flowchart is client approved prior to the development of the plans or procedures. Once the plans/procedures are approved, SCG provides training and exercise support during the implementation process.

Classification/Declassification

In response to DOE's Openness Initiative, SCG supplies Authorized Derivative Classifiers/Declassifiers (ADC/ADD) who have comprehensive knowledge of weapon data, manufacturing technology, and production processes to assist in declassifying/downgrading Secret and Confidential documents held at DOE facilities. ADDs are participating in the HQ-directed Large Scale Classification Review (LSCR).

Foreign Ownership, Control, and Influence (FOCI)

SCG assists both commercial and government organizations in the development or review of FOCI documentation. SCG has the track record of detailed research in company ownership, providing for development or review of FOCI applications.
