SCG's highly experienced Emergency Management Program (EMP) staff provides a wide range of support to commercial, federal, state, and local government clients. Our risk-based, all-hazards approach to risk management and emergency planning assists our clients in tailoring their contingency programs to address their specific natural, technological, and social hazards. SCG also provides our clients with effective emergency event mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery planning support during the development of health and safety awareness programs mandated by stringent regulatory requirements.
SCG's extensive emergency preparedness planning experience includes the disciplines of transportation and logistics, safety and health, environmental, security, public information, and information systems. Our staff provides emergency management services to specifically address client needs. We develop entire programs, conduct training, and then test the programs through exercises. Other specific services include the identification and documentation of hazards (chemical, radiological, and social) and the assessment and validation of programs. SCG develops tailored emergency plans and implements procedures to include: damage mitigation strategies, building evacuation and sheltering plans, transportation emergency response plans, recovery plans, and decision making support systems. Exercises are great tools to enhance the operational readiness of clients in many types and phases of emergencies. Thus, SCG specializes in designing, conducting and evaluating comprehensive exercises.
We also integrate national level programs, such as those outlined in the Federal Response Plan, the Federal Radiological Emergency Response Plan, and the National Contingency Plan into our planning process. Additionally, SCG's EMP professionals are members of the National Emergency Management Association and the National Coordinating Council on Emergency Management.
