Library Services

SCG assists government and private sector clients in the retrieval of scientific and business information. Our information specialists have access to more than 1,500 databases, including LEXIS-NEXIS, Dun & Bradstreet, OCLC, EDGAR, and Commerce Business Daily.

SCG allows clients to remain up-to-date on the latest patents, research, and news in their interest areas by subscribing to technology update services, such as STN, Questel-Orbit and Dialog through SCG. Additionally, we structure specific searches to meet individual needs.

The following are sources that are used to promptly obtain high quality data:

• Interlibrary loan via 22,000 libraries worldwide
• Bibliographic databases supplying references to domestic and international journal articles, papers, books, and technical reports
• Internet to locate free information
• Full-text, patent, economic, business, and scientific databases

SCG's information specialists have extensive background in information retrieval services. Our staff includes professional librarians with over 20 years experience. Through SCG's excellent staff, we offer quick turnaround (95% of searches within a week); efficient searches resulting in lower costs; guidance on what exists in specific areas of interest; and prioritizing or distilling data by its quality, reliability, and currency.

Graphic Design Support

SCG has expert graphic design specialists with experience providing computer graphics for technical and scientific presentations, publications, and technology transfer materials. SCG designs, produces, and assures quality control of printed material and visual aids for publications and oral presentations including:

• 35mm slides and view graphs
• brochures/booklets
• technical report covers
• poster displays
• company newsletters
• logos
• displays
• fact sheets
• camera ready graphics for project, business, and research reports

Additionally, SCG is able to produce a variety of presentation graphics including maps and cross sections of project study areas and charts and graphs of research data.

Technical Writing and Editorial Services

SCG has experienced staff able to create and refine everything from project, business, and research reports to manuals, newsletters and web pages. Our staff includes professionals with numerous years of experience and a Senior Editor with a Ph.D. in English.

Word Processing and Publishing

Our word processing service includes providing clerical and technical functions for formatting reports, document preparation, electronic style guides, technical transfer materials, web pages and electronic development of forms.
