SCG has substantial experience in the design, development, installation, and maintenance of security and fire alarm systems. SCG has developed a series of strategic alliances with security and fire alarm venders to provide quality yet cost-effective systems to meet clients' needs. Our strategic alliances are not limited to one vender per system type. This allows us to choose the correct system to meet the threat and not "push" a specific product. Our installation and maintenance teams are school and manufacturer trained for the systems installed. All of the products we provide our clients are year 2000 compliant.
SCG provides modern security systems that utilize many different types of security devices. The systems can range from simple physical barriers to state-of-the-art intrusion detection systems.
The physical barriers provide intrusion protection from unwanted intruders whether on foot or in a vehicle. Devices can include simple bollards, fences, gates, and berms to more sophisticated devices, such as bullet-resistant glass, bullet-resistant doors, or in-ground hydraulic anti-vehicle devices.
Intrusion detection systems can range from door contact systems to alert security personnel of opening and closing doors to sophisticated systems that use state-of-the-art laser technology to track intruders from the point of entry to the point of capture.
SCG provides turnkey security systems that utilize either physical barriers or intrusion detection devices, or a combination of both.
SCG has become a leader in the use of CCTV as an integral part of site security. SCG provides turnkey CCTV systems that range from a one camera system to CCTV systems that work in conjunction with security systems to track intruders from the point of entry to the point of capture.
SCG can design systems that utilize standard coaxial cable, fiber optic, twisted pair, microwave, or radio frequency (RF) transmission of the camera signals. Camera systems can be designed to be viewed over the local area network (LAN) or over the internet. Camera types can include black-and-white or color, pan/tilt/zoom, fixed, and hidden.
SCG can design and install access control systems, from the basic door pushbutton to the sophisticated biometric readers. Access control systems can be a single keypad with a controller panel to hundreds of control panels with hundreds of keypads, proximity readers, and/or biometric readers located within hundreds of different buildings, all interconnected and working as one single system monitored from one central station. SCG provides turnkey systems that are designed to meet the clients’ needs.
SCG can design a fire alarm system for most practical locations–from the small store to the manufacturing warehouse. Systems are designed to meet all National Electrical codes and NFPA 72 requirements, as well as any local fire protection codes. Systems can utilize the basic smoke detector and/or heat detector for small facilities to beam detectors to cover large warehouse areas.
SCG has a history of integrating existing systems with new state-of-the-art systems. SCG can, if desired by the client, integrate fire alarm, security, and CCTV systems into a complete turnkey system that works together and is monitored and controlled by one central station.
In addition to the normal one-year warranty on workmanship and equipment, SCG provides maintenance support to clients' security and fire alarm systems. We develop the maintenance cycle, perform scheduled preventative maintenance, and respond to maintenance requests.
