All armed security officer candidates must be U. S. citizens, at least 21
years of age, have a minimum of 3 years security officer experience or military
experience with an honorable discharge. A high school diploma or GED is
required. All candidates must pass a physical, drug screen test, psychological
test and a federal background check. Candidates in Tennessee
must pass the Federal Protective Service test. Duties include, but are not
limited to: providing security services, standing post, maintaining
control of the client facilities/property, processing paperwork, meeting all
contractual requirements, completing timesheets, complying with
established Rules of Personal Conduct and adhering to the SCG Code of Business
Conduct and Ethics. All tests are paid for by the company as well
as uniforms and equipment.
Supervisory positions at all locations require the above plus prior
supervisory experience, some college preferred and computer skills such as
Word/WordPerfect, Excel, and email. Supervisors are the liaison between
the company and the client and experience at government locations in a supervisory
position is a plus. Several sites are unionized and require prior
experience in working in a union environment.
